5+1 Ways to Open a New Tab in Opera

Opera internet browser introduced tabbed browsing to browser market in late 90′s. Since then, almost every browser now includes tabbed browsing feature. This feature, when used properly, increases productivity.  So, here is a 5+1 ways to open a new tab in Opera. These could be known to many of you, but i thought to share it. Enjoy these tricks.

  • Number 1:
  • Select “New Tab” from the File menu in Opera toolbar.

  • Number 2:
  • Click the “+” icon located near existing opened tab in a tab bar.

  • Number 3:
  • Press “Ctrl+T” from your Keyboard.

  • Number 4:
  • Double click the empty area in the tab bar.

  • Number 5:
  • Right click the empty area in tab bar and select “New Tab” from the displayed options.

And here is a 5+1th way to open a link in a new tab. Just click the link with the center scroll button of your mouse and the page will open in a new tab.

    Hmm never know there are so many other ways to open a new tab. Normally I will just click on the + button on the tab.

    ever since switching from firefox to opera i wasn’t sure how to open a link in a new tab (was used to the ctrl click) – thanks for pointing out the middle mouse button will accomplish what i want!

    You might be talking about opening a tab in background. For that, just right click on any link and click ‘Open in Background Tab’ option.
